The 36th Sharjah Ramadan Festival ran 15 February–25 March 2026 with the Ramadan Nights exhibition. Dates, organiser, shopping promotions and planning tips.

The Sharjah Ramadan Festival is an annual programme run by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The 36th edition ran from 15 February to 25 March 2026 (39 days) under the theme “Ramadan Spirit in the Heart of Sharjah”, and formed part of the Sharjah Shopping Promotions 2025–2026, which ran from 1 December to 25 March (Sharjah24, 11 Feb 2026).

What to expect in a typical year

The festival combines retail promotions, a Ramadan exhibition for shopping, food and gifts, and cultural and family activities. The details change with each edition.

How to plan for the next edition

  1. Remember the date moves. Ramadan shifts through the year, so next year’s festival dates are not the same as 2026. Wait for the SCCI announcement.
  2. Check opening hours, which differ in Ramadan; many venues open later and close later.
  3. Visit on weekdays if you want a calmer exhibition experience.
  4. Compare prices and keep receipts for promotions; read the terms.
  5. Plan iftar and parking in advance in busy areas.

For residents

Sharjah’s shopping and cultural calendar is a major part of everyday life. If you are choosing where to live, see our best areas guide and the events calendar.

Where and how it runs

Sharjah24’s pre-launch report said the festival would run across all cities and regions of the emirate, including the Central and Eastern regions, with participation from major shopping centres, retail outlets and international and local brands. The 2026 edition coincided with the UAE’s “Year of Family”, and SCCI said the programme was built around family engagement, combining entertainment, education, shopping and social values.

The programme featured promotional campaigns, prize draws and cultural initiatives. Two named activities were the “Young Influencer” initiative for children and the “Your Iftar Is Ready” event, which SCCI described as highlighting the humanitarian and social side of the festival. SCCI’s festivals director said the activities were designed for shoppers, families, children, youth and sports enthusiasts. SCCI also described the festival as a partner of the “Ramadan Nights” exhibition, with exhibition shoppers able to enter the festival’s main raffle draw.

Shopping smart during a promotion period

A promotion is only worth chasing if you know the normal price. A few habits help:

  1. Note the regular price before the festival starts, so you can judge a discount.
  2. Read draw and offer terms. Eligibility, dates and minimum spend are set by each retailer and organiser.
  3. Keep invoices until prize results are published, in case you need them.
  4. Use official channels to confirm a raffle or offer is genuine.

Why the timing matters for residents

Ramadan hours change daily rhythms: working hours, traffic peaks and shop opening times shift. If you are moving house or viewing property during the festival, plan viewings around local timings and ask agents for confirmed slots in writing.
